Privacy Policy
What I collect, why, and what I do with it. The short version: very little, and I never sell it.
Who I am
I’m Troy Heland. Helands (ABN 25 174 298 491) is my business, and it runs helands.com. Questions about privacy: troy@helands.com.
What I collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, what your enquiry is about, your website address (if you give it) and your message. This arrives as an email to me. It isn’t stored on the website.
- When you visit: like almost every website, my hosting provider automatically records basic technical details, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure.
What I don’t do
- I never sell or share your details for marketing, and I won’t add you to a mailing list.
Who else is involved
- Google Workspace: my email. Your enquiry is stored in my Gmail account.
- Bluehost: my web host. Its servers may be outside Australia.
How long I keep it
Enquiries stay in my email for as long as they’re useful for replying and keeping business records. Ask me and I’ll delete yours.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email troy@helands.com and I’ll reply within 2 business days.
If you’re not happy with how I handle it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
